President, Les Armstrong called the July meeting of the  Wyoming Prospectors to order at 7:35 p.m. at the annual 
outing on Rock Creek.

Introductions were made as there were several new faces present.

Secretary, Kimberlee Raymond read the minutes from the June meeting.  After amendments were made, motions were made and carried to approve minutes as read. 

Treasurer, Deb Palmer read the treasurers report, reporting bills paid and deposits made.  Motions were made and carried to approve report as read.

CLAIMS:  Nothing new to report.

RAFFLE:  Winners of the latest raffle are:

 Top Seller:  The Trumbles from the Miners Grubstake winning the Jade Bolo .

1st place-  Robert Jones - Gold Necklace
2nd place- Jim Brines - Porcelain Painting
3rd place- Russ Sims- 2006 Uncirculated Eagle Coin.

NATIONAL NEWS:  BLM Land Grab-  temporary to become permanent.  Notes on web page that everyone should read and make your opinion noticed.

Same with changes from the forest service, make your opinion known.  That is the only way to make a difference.

OUTING COMMITTEE:  Thank you to everyone for making this another successful and enjoyable outing.  Special thank you to Carl Anderson for the dirt and the use of his back hoe.  Motions were made and carried to purchase a barrel of diesel fuel for Carl for use of his equipment.

CORRESPONDENCE: Thank you letter from the PLP for the donation we made. We also received a letter from Quintan  Fratt.

OLD BUSINESS:  Motions were made and carried to approve purchase of gold for club use on an as needed basis.  With a limit of no more than 2 ounces at a time.

Lease land was offered for purchase.  It was voted that the board would go to Joy Williams with an offer that would be affordable to the club and report back at a later date as to the details.

OFFICERS:  Please welcome our new President Scott Luers and Vice President Bruce Gress.  And still standing secretary Kimberlee Raymond and Treasurer Deb Palmer. 

NEW BUSINESS:  It was suggested that the club make a members cookbook.  Motions were made and carried to go ahead and build the cookbook.  All recipes can be submitted to Jim HInesley via e-mail or mailed to the club at

At the time of these minutes, there have been no recipes submitted so lets get them in.  I know you all have a favorite or two that you can share.  We need 300 to start the book.  Let's get them in!

We have been invited to tour the Carissa Gold Mine at 10:00 a.m. on August 11th.  The only drawback is we are limited to 15 people.  Also, a donation of at least $1 would be greatly appreciated. (This phrase about contact persons was removed by Jim so everyone has the same chance whether computer connected or not!!! Read your NEWS letter from the club in your mail!!!)  Other details are available on the web site. 

Next meeting to be held on August 11th, 2007 at the Miner's Grubstake at 5:00 P.M.

50/50 Raffle winner was Peggy Gress- congrats

Congrats to all who won prizes at the club raffle.  I think we all agree it was a very entertaining evening.
